This hotel is sufficient. It was moderately clean with a breakfast area that was quite small. Renovation plans have been advertised in the lobby so perhaps that will be addressed. The room our party was assigned was already occupied. Left, came back with wine and after another 20 minutes there was a perfectly average room made available. The staff, however, was friendly. You get what you pay for sometimes...
I expected a little better for Holiday Inn Express - clean building, clean rooms, breakfast. What we got was a beat up building, reception staff who were never around and a room that had a bathroom that was unclean and had black mold on the entire ceiling. On the upside the location was perfect and breakfast room was new and the breakfast was as expected. I would not recommend this hotel until the rooms are renovated.
Police came knocking on doors at 10:00pm asking if we heard any "unusual" noises from next door. When we questioned manager next morning, very brusque, rude and dismissive!
Room not overly clean and missing simple amenities like tissues, body wash and blow drier. Jets in hot tub not working.
Pool was clean and cinnamon rolls at breakfast were marvelous!
I took my daughter and 2 grandchildren to this hotel for 2 nights, 2 rooms. I was embarrassed by the filth (I have some photos), the lack of basic supplies in rooms (no toilet paper, tissues, cream or sugar for the “complimentary coffee in-room, and shortage of towels. The hot tub was absolutely disgusting.
There was not enough breakfast and what was there was just awful. In 2 days, I did not see ONE housekeeper or housekeeper cart. The desk clerk supplied me with a trash bag with a few towel, one roll of toilet paper and a box of tissues. I paid almost $200 per room per night for a DUMP. I asked to have the general manager call me. She never did, but I met her briefly while exiting the hotel. She said “I’m sorry you had a bad experience.” She was far from cordial and not helpful at all.
My stay started badly and just got worse. It took 30 minutes for them to check me in as there was a problem with their system. Once in my room I realized they was no toilet paper, hand soap, body wash, shampoo or facial tissues. The room was old even by Holiday Inn standards -- the bathroom was poorly lit and the carpets looked in desparate need of replacement. Stains on the ceiling and tape on the walls. The lamp power outlets by the bedside didn't really work and the worst part was that even the AC unit didn't work at all. We only discovered this late in the evening on our last day when it was the hottest and so we didn't seek to change rooms. I was also disappointed that they didn't serve bacon or sausage rounds as depicted in their photos, though it's possible that they just change up the menu. Definately one of my most disappointing hotel stays, especially for the money we spent on it. At least the front desk staff were kind and were helpful with the missing amenities.
The pictures on line are not what the hotel actually looks like. It's an old hotel everything is outdated. The rooms and the decor are old and run down. The pool area is really cold. The one good thing was the Continental breakfast and the staff was great
