Soho 54

This hotel saved our stay in NYC. Booked very last minute (the night before), as the hotel we were supposed to stay let us down big time. But coming to Soho 54 made us feel so good and positive about our staying. Everything was just perfect, the room was great with all the comforts (especially the bed!), all the staff was so helpful (Elise was the only name we asked, but everyone we crossed, thank you !), the hotel facilities were great (coffees/teas/bottled water always available and free) there was a "living/dinner room" where you could eat your food (a microwave available too), watching TV, relax. A gym and a terrace were good addition too, although we didn't have time to use it. Location was perfect too, we walked mainly but there are subway stops just 5 mins away which takes you to the centre in 15/20 mins. Shops around within walking distance too. Felt very safe every time, day and night. Would definitely recommend and come back

Overall I enjoyed my stay! SoHo 54 is not a notably fancy hotel and the ‘bar’ onsite is inoperable/used as a storage location for guest luggage, though this was a plus since the room wasn’t ready when we arrived. Staff were friendly and personal, and I loved that there are unlimited water bottles for grabs at the front. The room was plain and a little dated, but clean and a good place to rest when needed. There’s a Duane Reade near by and the subway is under a 5 minute walk, both extremely convenient! 4/5

Very clean hotel room. Staff were very friendly. Bed was super comfortable. The free beverages were a plus. Would definitely recommend and would return again.

Soho 54 is within a few blocks of 2 subway lines amid many nice restaurants, and it serves good coffee 24/7. The room was comfortable tor 2 old men, and the bathroom was large. The staff is friendly and ready to help. The hotel hosts many international travelers, which made for some interesting conversations. We especially liked The Woo, a Korean carryout that served delicious bulogi, and Pera Soho, which served Turkish influenced food in a gorgeous setting. The area is traffic choked because entry to the Holland Tunnels is a block away, but the traffic is generally slow and easy for a pedestrian to navigate.

10/10 recommend. Staff was very accommodating and pleasant. They upgraded our room to a suite without any additional or extra charge. The amenities were really nice. They had unlimited water our stay there, food options was walking distance and this hotel is located in a nice neighborhood. Definitely will be booking again.
